The long walk
2. How far did she have to walk to be able to get some seafood?
Just in front of Their house which is not even far away they don’t have to jump in the car and ride out to the fishing area.
3. Where did Nanny have to go when the bridge was built? The sand came up and buried their pipi.
4. Who is Moremore? Moremore is the owner of the ocean and is kaitika.
5. How many times did Nanny see Moremore? She only saw it just one time.
6. What did they hide in the flax and why? They filled Their kete with pipi and covered it with flax because the pipi was too heavy to carry.
7. Why did the pipi move again? Because the water went black and smelly.
8. Where did Nanny go after this?
They walked over the hill to the town then. They lived in town.
9. Where did they live?
They lived over the hill to the town.
10. Did they ever find the pipi again?
No They didn't because it was to far to walk.

Writing about Sockburn School's art gallery
During the past 8 weeks kahikatea has being working on some extremely awesome art models. These models reflect what kahikatea has been learning about, pollution and how pollution starts. Pohutukawa and Matai made models just like we have been doing but different designs.Pohutukawa made CD fish which had lots of bright colours on them.Matai made three pictures that showed you the unsustainable side and the sustainable side. They also included some sand in these blue shells which was showing the beach. Every week kahikatea changed to a different group. There were three groups Sculpture,Mural and Storyboards. The first group i went to was Mural. We had to draw on a piece of white blank paper and write on the top the short date. Then we had to write and draw a sustainable side and the unsustainable side. The second group I went to was Storyboards. We had to draw three equal squares and draw in sustainable and unsustainable things. We also had to write something to go with the pictures. The last group i went to was the Sculptures. So we had to get a ice-cream container and flip it over the container to make our Sculptures look 3D not like 2D. For the Sculptures we used things that came from a junkyard that Mrs North brought. There was string, scissors, paper foam, wire, tape, plastic cups, glue|hot glue, curtain hangers and tinfoil.
Mr. Barrow and some children from kahikatea moved all of kahikateas Sculpture and murals into the hall the Mr.Barrow got Mr.Rob to make the backboard for Matai’s art. Then
Mrs.Ingram move pohutukawas beautiful, bright and shiny fish into the hall hanging. Pohutukawa had hardly anything they only had about two things for the art exhibition which were the fish and the clay flower pots. I really liked having the art exhibition because we all did our best and did really cool art I think
That what we should do next time we have a art gallery and make something different. Kahikatea should have one group that writes in something that is about sustainable and then do the unsustainable writing.
Have I got any thing that i need to work on for next time?
